Hi John, heard you speak last spring in Alexandria, MN. last year, anyway I have a question that a firefighter brought to me and I kind of drew a blank. The question was how many diffrent uses are there for the spanner belt? Thanks for your help.
Wanted to wish you and yours and the Brothers at FDNY a Happy and Safe New Year in 2010. Hoping to see you when you come up here again. Try to promise you a bear sighting...LOL
Please tell your Marine thanks for serving and to come home safe with everyone else!
Take care Brother
Brad
Here's a something to help you ring in the new year!
I would like to say first and for most you are an inspiration to many like myself and you are on of the true leaders and the real deal to the fire service. I am currently reading your book " First in Last out". I am very pleased with the book and look at it in ways of making me a better fireman and person. Ol go RED SOXS
Hey Chief!! Checked out the site and LOVE it!! Class was great this weekend! I hope to see you in Myrtle Beach!!! Hope your flight was decent!! Thanks again for everything!!
Chief, Hope you had a safe trip home. Just wanted to drop you a line and say thanks for today. I really enjoyed the class. I picked up alot of good stuff to use. Thanks again.
Take Care.
How is the Chief cook and bottle washer? How's your weather in NY? We are getting snow right now. How is your son getting along in Iraq? Let him know we are wishing him and fis fellow Marines' a Merry Christmas and to stay safe. We have a lot our our fellow soldiers from here over there too chewing the same dirt.
Take care and Merry Christmas to you and yours from the North Pole!
I am in the process of reading your book on leadership titled First In, Last Out. I have to say that you have a unique perspective on things that one would normally not think of. Your book has been a great read so far & I look forward to finishing it soon. I would very much appreciate if you would consider adding me as a friend. Thanks for your time, & stay safe.
Been busy but wanted to just say a quick thank you for taking the time to write back in regards to dealing with inexperience. I read your book First In Last Out a couple of months ago and took allot of things away from it, so it meant allot that you took the time out to give me your thoughts on it. Look forward to talking with you again soon. Thanks again.
Hey John,
Just wanted to say hello, I've been so busy with Common Sense Firefighting on this site that I haven't been around the rest of it. Did you get to LA with the IAFF? I'm too busy with things and the holidays are comming quick. I just saw Doug Sloan from Total Fire here in Chgo and he showed me a pic of his boys serving with yours overseas. He said hello also.
Take care
Merry Christmas (Is that ok to say here? Ha)

Chief,
I just got done listening to your recent podcast with Chief Lasky...and I would like to ask you for a few minutes of your time to learn about our organization, HONOR THEIR SACRIFICES, website www.honortheirsacrifices.com
Hey Chief, Enjoyed chatting with you & Chief Rick Lasky in Fort Worth. I have finally the Elevator company to work with me on my class. Thanks for the advise.
Chief, I had a question about SOC training standards. How many hours initially and how many continuing hours do SOC members use in FDNY per year and how much do they devote to each discipline
