The Gift

You have been given a gift... your life is a gift, your talents are gifts, your knowledge is a gift, your fire service affiliation is a gift, your fire service abilities are gifts and your ability to care for people is a gift. I have to ask just how passionate are you about these gifts?

I relate my passion about these gifts back to when I was a kid and it was Christmas morning. How excited I was to get to the tree to see was gifts were left by the jolly good man himself. I can say that when I got into the business in 1979 as a junior member I was that excited to be at the fire house and train. As time went on that excitement carried over to responses and caring for people we were called to help. Now as a Chief Officer and instructor that excitement and passion to see others and the fire service excell and be the best is the passion and excitement at the same level as when I was that child on Christmas morning X 3.
