Where firefighters come to talk training

Empty years do not equal worthwhile experience and neither does a certificate mean you are capable of doing the job.

If you are an empty shirt skating through your career and not engaging in worthwhile training, and gaining meaningful experience, you are to blame for the slide into mediocrity that seems to be infecting the fire service.

If you are nothing more than a certificate collector attending classes just to build a resume, but never really utilizing or sharing what you have learned, you are to blame for the slide into mediocrity that seems to be infecting the fire service.

Experience that is worthwhile and meaningful is important to a successful career.

Education that is worthwhile and meaningful is important to a successful career. The knowledge gained should be the goal and the certificate the icing on the cake.
