Fire Engineering Training Community

Where firefighters come to talk training

I am currently an Intern - Strength and Conditioning Coach at Military and Mountain Athlete in Jackson, Wyoming and will be returning to Northern California in September. Upon returning to California, I plan on doing an observational research study on Wildland Firefighters that will be the foundation of future research and what I have been working towards since entering the fire service in 2005.

I want to change the health culture of the fire service in a way that positively affects the men and women that serve our communities.

I worked for Cal-Fire for 6 years in order to put my self through College and Grad School. I now have the appropriate fire background, and education on physiology to do what I have always wanted to do. Study Firefighters and enable them to live a healthier lifestyle while still maintaining the job that they love.

I am going to start a weekly blog of what I am doing and what other research is out there on firefighters and their health.

Please lend any resources that you may have on the subject of firefighter health.

Stay Safe
