FDA Seizes Cyanide Antidote Kits (CAK) - NOT Cyanokit

The following are links to the FDA press releases distributed yesterday by the Federal Drug Administration regarding seizure of the Cyanide Antidote Kits (CAK) from Keystone Pharmaceuticals. Do not confuse the CAK with Cyanokit and/or Hydroxocobalamin.

According to the FDA, the Cyanide Antidote Kits (CAK):

1.have not proven safe or effective for their intended use;

Three Firefighters have Died Since January 1

Since January 1, 2010, we've lost three firefighters. All suddenly and unpectedly collapsed - under the age of 51 and in good physical "shape". While we at the CPTC believe HCN in fire smoke is a significant contributor to heart-related deaths, we of course cannot state with certainty that these firefighters were victims of fire smoke.
