Hi Mike,
Yes I'm the guy you remember. I retired from the City of Chandler AZ in December 2008 and moved to Nutrioso (Eastern AZ between the cities of Springerville and Alpine).
I apologize that I did not get back to you sooner but I'm a Captain on the Nutrioso Volunteer FD and missed your invite because I was busy on the Wallow Fire. Spent 20 days on the fire line. The Wallow Fire burned more than 538,000 acres in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest and completely surrounded our valley community. We lost only 5 of the 300 homes here and were very fortunate. Had some really great people helping protect us.
Hope all is well with you. I understand that both Naperville and the NFD have changed a lot since I left there.
