Tom Bentley is a 22 year fireman and Captain with the Quincy Fire Department . He is the Fire Science/EMS, Law Enforcement and Homeland Security Department Chair for John Wood Community College in Quincy, IL. He is a Plans Manager for the Illinois USAR Team IL-TF1. He is the Coordinator for the Haz-Mat Teams in his part of the State (MABAS 44, ITTF 13, Adams County & City of Quincy.) He has consulted for serveral companies including Davis Defence Group where he taught Haz-Mat Response to the Navy; and DEMA the Danish Emergency Management Agency where he helped train their International USAR Team. He reviews Fire Service textbooks for McGraw-Hill and Cengage/Thompson/Delmar Publishing.
