Bio:
Started my Fire Service career in 1985 in a Fire Service program at L.H Bates Vo- Tech in Tacoma, WA. I then became a Resident FF for the Federal Way Fire Dept. ( KCFPD # 39 ) , while attending school. After Attending School for 2 yrs , I continued as a Resident Firefighter, and working for an ambulance company. In 1989 I achieved my dream of becoming a career FF, starting work for The City of Edmonds Fire Dept. In 1990 I returned to the Federal Way Fire Dept. as a Career Firefighter. I attended Numerous Firefighting courses continuing my education in the Fire Service. In 1996 I was one of 12 founding members of our Technical Rescue team, and I also became a Member of the FEMA USAR WA-Task Force 1 as a rescue specialist. In 2000 I became a Rescue Squad Leader on the Task Force. After serving on the team 8 yrs., I resigned my position on the team. In 2006 the Federal Way Fire Dept. merged with the Des Moines Fire Dept. , and Became South King Fire & Rescue ! Where I continue to work this day. I have filled many positions in the Dept., Acting Lt., Interim Lt., and Driver Operator. Driver operator is a new position in our organization, before all FF's off of Probation were trained to be drivers, in Jan. 2018 it will be promoted position ! I will be one of them. Founding member of Ladder Co.64 , where I am currently assigned. I still consider myself a student of my profession , and try to attend as much training as I can . Have attended Firehouse World Expo, FDIC, Orlando Fire Conference, and numerous FOOLS Conventions

Sven, Sven, Sven......... Thank you brother. I have tried to post comments on the PSF forum and can't, so I am excited to find everyone here. I feel like a slacker for not knowing about it. Please pass on my families appreciation of everything that you all did for us. Words can't explain it.

Sven- How are you brother? It's great to see you here. Sorry I was unable to make the convention, I've heard you guys really raised the bar for us for 2009. We'll have fun trying to top it.
Stay Safe,
