Areas of expertise:
21years in the fire service and still learning everyday. I enjoy taking, teaching, and talking about common sense operations regarding structural fire suppression. I have been fortunate to work with and meet others that have been willing to pass on their experiences and I just try to pass on what they have showed me and some things that I have learned from making my share of mistakes.
Appointed to the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire in 1999, currently assigned as a Captain at 32 Truck Company, A-Line in the city's Deutschtown neighborhood. Previous assignments Engine Company 8, 17, Truck Company 14, Engine & Truck Company 8. Prior to PBF I worked for Wilkinsburg Fire Department for 3 years (WFD is now PBF Engine Co #16). I started in the fire service as a 4th generation family member with the Adams Area Fire District. I also currently serve in the Air National Guard as Fire Chief with the 171st ARW PAANG. I am a PA State Fire Instructor and also teach as a member of Rapid Intervention Training Associates and Traditions Training LLC. I am married (Cathy) and have two sons (Brady & Ryan).
