Bio:
I joined the fire department in 1966 as a volunteer. In 1967 I joined the all volunteer Ambulance service and in 1969 I joined the local Rescue Company and was trained in both Search and rescue as well as heavy duty rescue. I have been a volunteer everywhere I lived and worked over the 40 plus years I was active in the fire service. I am now a member of the San Francisco Fire Department's Neighborhood Emergency Response Teams whose primary purpose it is to assist the SFFD in search and rescue following an earthquake.
