Areas of expertise:
I started my firefighting career as a volunteer with the Riverside County Fire Department in California. Soon after I began working as a wild land firefighter for the California department of forestry and fire protection, now known as Cal-Fire. I worked for Cal-Fire as a seasonal wildland firefighter for 3 years, where I was able to respond to major incidents throughout the state of California. While working as a seasonal for Cal-Fire I was lucky enough to be hired as a permanent paid firefighter for the City of Colton Fire Department. I have been with the City of Colton since 2004. In Colton I have been in charge of new recruit training since 2008. I have evaluated and and developed the departments training manual, I serve as the departments public information officer. I have worked as a firefighter on the truck, several years as an Engineer, and now Captain. I currently sit on the eligibility list for Battalion Chief.
