Bio:
Dave Emanuel is employed by the Town of Durham, NH as a professional fire captain/EMT at the Durham Fire Department and is also a professional engineer with his family business, Emanuel Engineering, Inc. He has also served in the capacity of the Assistant Chief of the Stratham Volunteer Fire Department and serves Director of Emergency Management for the Town of Stratham, NH.

Dave has been deeply interested in the fire and emergency services since his youth. While studying civil engineering abroad at the Technical University of Budapest in Hungary, and traveling with his wife, he has visited fire stations in 16 countries and numerous municipalities across America. He has experienced professional development training or ride-alongs with departments including Seattle Washington, FDNY, New York, Chicago, Illinois, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He has attended professional development conferences across the country including the IAFF EMS Conference, IAFF Redmond Symposium, IAFF National Convention as a delegate, and the American Society of Civil Engineers National Convention.

Dave provides a unique perspective by combining both professional engineering design and emergency services knowledge and experience. Most recently he has been the lead civil and site engineer for the Portsmouth Fire Station #2 replacement project, which is still in the design phase. He has also served on the Stratham Fire Station/Public Safety Building committee through the funding, design, and construction portions of the project.
