A Fire Engineer is, essentially, a Fire Safety Engineer. He is an expert in Fire Safety technics: fire protection systems design, effectiveness assessment of fire protection strategies (by mathematical correlations, numerical simulations). Examples of fire protection means: smoke control (ventilation) systems, water fire suppression (sprinkler, water mist) systems, fire resistant walls.
