Bio:
Fire Director Chris S. Stellatella has served the City of New Brunswick Fire Department since 2005. Before he was appointed Fire Director, he was the Deputy Chief for the NBFD’s 2nd Platoon. His previous staff positions include the Safety & Training Officer and the Training Officer in charge of the Recruit Fire Academy. He actively works as a Rescue Squad Officer for New Jersey Task Force 1 – NJSP/FEMA Urban Search and Rescue team. He serves as a Subject Matter Expert for the NJ Division of Fire Safety, creating the IFSAC/ProBoard accredited Firefighter 1 & 2, Fire Instructor, Fire Officer, RIC Team Operations, and Apparatus Driver/Operator programs. He is a Supervisor and Fire & Technical Rescue Instructor at the Middlesex County Fire Academy. He works as an Adjunct Professor at Raritan Valley College. He instructs for Dräger/SimPro for their Live Fire trainer units as a subject matter expert in fire behavior. He served as the Academy Supervisor at the Somerset County ESTA. He has obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University. He is the founder and director of Emergency Response Training Consultants, LLC.
