Appointed February 22, 1978 to NHFD assigned to Engine Co. 9; transfered to Emergency Co's 1, 2, 3; assigned to the Training Academy as an Assistant Drillmaster 1985 responsible for fire and EMS training, Promoted to Lieutenant, Captain and in 1997 to the Director of Training as OIC of regional training facility with a five person staff. As the DOT have been responsible for not only training all department personnel but coordinating the South Division of the New Haven Area Special Hazards team; managing the City's Homeland Security Program for the Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI). Position requires response to all multiple alarm fires and extraordinary incidents for comand and control. Graduated with High Honors from the University of New Haven, West Haven, CT with A.S. in Fire and Occupational Safety and B.S. in Fire Administration Magna C** Laude. Have been guest presenter at State of Virginia Hazmat Conference, State of CT EMS Conferences; Yale University School of Emergency Medicine CO evaulation program; USMC-CBIRF/NHASH Team training coordinator; Responded to WTC Incident working for FEMA.
