I was a firefighter for 8 years for the city of Twin Falls and obtained the rank of driver engineer. I worked as acting captain prior to my transfer to the police department in 1985. I obtained a AS degeree in fire science while at the fire department. I coordinated departmental training as a firefighter with the task of teaching police perform the duties of a firefighter. The city had consolidated and during this 3 year fiasco one of my responsibilities was to cross train police officers. I have developed the Twin Falls Fire Task Force that comprises of Myself and two fire investigators. I handle anything suspicious and assist on questionable origin and cause investigations. the other two firefighters perform the preponderance of the OC investigations and call me if needed or suspicions arise. I have attended the national fire academy on two occasions and am a member of the International and State arson investigators associations. I am currently 1st VP of the Idaho association and will be president of the association for the 2009 calendar year. I am the only arson investigator for our department and also perform Voice Stress Analysis (VSA) tests for our department in all areas of criminal wrong doing to include background and internal investigations. I am looking at retiring in October of 2009 and pursuing private practice employment in the areas of arson investigations and criminal investigations.

I am 55 years young and enjoy my work. I love doing interviews and trying to obtain confessions. I Hunt, fish, golf and enjoy most sports as long as my competition is willing to suffer. I hate winning when my competitor isn't emotionally stable enough to handle it!
