Amy Maxwell is currently the Public Information Officer for Hamilton County Emergency Services. Since becoming the spokesperson for Hamilton County Emergency Services in 1999, Ms. Maxwell handles all public and media relations for Hamilton County Emergency Management, Field Services and EMS. She is responsible for sending media releases to all local media, maintaining the website for Emergency Services, coordinates with schools for classroom presentations on emergency preparedness and school safety, special events coordinator, assists in relief efforts, such as Hurricane Katrina and Gustav, and the Flood of 2005. Photography is a love for her and has been a national photo winner twice in the Nationwide IFSTA/Fire Protection Publication Calendar.
Amy received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of TN at Chattanooga in 1993 in Communications, Public Relations and Marketing. In March of 2000, she received her EMT-IV License from Chattanooga State and is a National Registry EMT-IV for Tennessee. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, Southeast EMS Directors Association, Honored Member of the Cambridge's Who's Who, Emergency Management Association of Tennessee, and the Marketing Chairperson for the Tennessee Fire Chief's Association Mutual Aid Team.
