Richard Riesenberg, retired Fire Chief of Southgate, KY at time of fire, was the 2nd firefighter to arrive to the club's entrance when the emergency call to the Southgate Fire Department was received. Some of his crew did not leave the site for three days. He is modelling the original hat he wore during the fire. He almost lost 19 firefighters from his crew as the Cabaret Room ceiling was beginning to collapse from the heat. (The frontal white embellishment on hat has since been replaced.)
