Where firefighters come to talk training

The Fort Buchanan Fire Department Firefighter's Combat Challenge is a 9 event physical challenge in which firefighters put in practice much of the skills required to perform their daily task. Competition events includes four floors stair climb with a high-rise pack, hose hoist, forcible entry, 75’ hose advancement, 100’ victim drag, equipment carry, hose rolls, 90 lb. Rope pull, and ladder climb. The main reason for the Firefighters Combat Challenge is to promote awareness of the physical challenges which firefighters need during a fire; moreover this activity brings companionship, a little competition, and a great time. This grueling activity is difficult on both the mind and body of all the firefighters who participate on it, but its end result are priceless.
