Confined Space Rescue Basic Operation

On Saturday 15th of February 2014, the Fort Buchanan Fire and Emergency Services joined effort with the Metropolitan Emergency Response Team, Cataño Office of Emergency Management, and Port Authority to conduct an 8 hours confined space rescue basic operations training; this session covered subjects like standards, and regulations, confined spaces identification, permit / non-permit requirements, rescuer safety, personal protective equipment, rope, and equipment description, basic rigging, mechanical advantage systems, ICS, horizontal, and vertical rescue.
At the end all of the objectives were met, but the most important aspect was covered; everyone went home safe.
