Where firefighters come to talk training

Fort Buchanan Fire Department Training Facility

Fort Buchanan Fire Department Training Facility

Breaking in the Fort Buchanan Fire Department "play ground" Training Facility; the FBFD personnel in conjunction with fire fighters from the Army National Guard gets the first run on the department's newest acquisition. The 48' x 34' metal structure designed by American Fire Training System meets the needs to comply with any fire fighter proficiency standards; from a interchangeable walls enclosed SCBA confidence course, stand pipe connections for high rise ops, class "A" live fire area, high angle rescue, forcible entry, etc, etc, etc. I'm happy (you can see it in the last pic)..... During these sessions, fire fighters demonstrated their ability to perform a search without visibility in a 20' room with different obstacles; once completed, fire fighters were paired to act as a rapid intervention team to rescue a "down" fire fighter or Denver Drill.
