Where firefighters come to talk training

Victim Extrication; Progressive Lifting

Fire fighters are responsible for the extrication of patients from vehicles, buildings or anything else. However, the occasional “special” emergency such as a patient pinned under a 40 foot trailer might arise; we must be ready to provide the adequate care. Extrication procedures must be focused on properly lifting, stabilizing the trailer, and the safe removal of the victim. During this training session, the Fort Buchanan Fire Department crew demonstrates that by using technical rescue techniques, and equipment the main objective can be attained.
