04/30 ~ At 20:09, Westminster Firefighters were dispatched to 10630 Quail Street on a structure fire. The RP reported fire that started in the backyard had extended into the attached garage. First due Companies went into fast attack mode on a single story residential structure with fire showing from the garage. Ladder 3 laid in and pulled an additional attack line to the interior of the residence and set up PPV. A 3rd attack line was deployed for crews on an interior primary search which came back clear. Fire extended into the attic space but was confined to the garage area and was quickly knocked with no further extension. There was substantial damage to the garage and the residence suffered some minor smoke and drywall damage. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation. Rod Blakney Photos
