4/27 ~ At 23:43, Denver Firefighters were dispatched to a reported dumpster fire in the area of 9th & Hooker. First due Engine 20 arrived 3 minutes later to find a fire in the alley with some extension to a garage in the 800 block of Hooker St. The ticket was filled out while the crew from Engine 20 gained access to the garage and quickly knocked the fire. Several companies were stood down, while 20's & 12's completed some overhaul. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation. At 02:50 some of the same companies were called to the area of Ohio & Tejon for a reported structure fire. Engine 23 found a fully involved travel trialer in the back yard of a home in the 800 block of South Tejon. Again, a quick knock was made and most companeis were released. Rod Blakney Photos
