My name is Scott LaPrade and Im a 20 year career firefighter with the Leominster Ma Fire Department. I am assinged to Ladder Co 1 out of the downtown firehouse. I have appeared in numerous fire publications from Firehouse, Fire Rescue - Fire Engineering- Fire Apparatus-First Respnoder News. I also work with a Fire Protection Engineer shooting past fires and working with the insurance companies to determine the cause of the fire. The lastest investigation was the fire in Boston Ma that claimed the lives of two Boston Jakes.

    I hear you. I used to ride with squad 4 in Brooklyn as a kid with my dad and the little instamatic camera I would sometimes carry sucked compared to today's camera's. Even got to see the super pumper at work a few times. I did learn alot riding both in FDNY and Boston that came in handy when I was on the job. There are many good lessons learned when sitting at the firehouse kitchen table.

It helps the responders that do not yet have a team or would be worried that they asking for help would be seen as weakness. Please join and share it when you can.
