Bio:
24 plus years of experience in the Fire Service. The last year I have served as the Special Operations Division Chief. Two years I served as the Training Division Chief for Savannah Fire and Emergency Services. The three years before that served as the Special Operations Chief in Savannah; managing all aspects of Special Operations which includes Hazardous Materials, Technical Rescue and GSAR Teams; member of the FBI SE Joint Terrorism Task Force; Disaster Planning for the Department and currently the City; Grant Management; coordinate/deliver specific basic and advanced level training for the department. Past experiences include serving as Special Programs Interim Section Manager for two plus years at the Georgia Fire Academy (GFA); Public Safety Instructor Level 3 at GFA, responsible for Technical Rescue (Ropes, Confined Space, Trench, and Structural Collapse) program development and delivery. Development of the current rescue course curriculums used by Coastal Georgia Search and Rescue and other organizations. Additional experience in coordinating/delivery of training in fire suppression, hazardous materials, fire prevention, dive, fire officer development /management, ICS and terrorism related courses. In conjunction with Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training (GFSTC) developed nine nationally certified programs for the GFA and GFSTC. Experiences have led to travel throughout the United States and Canada to take or assist in fire / rescue related courses.
