Great idea on the First Five Drill. Do you know how much the hardware and software would run for the simulator? Working on the AFG grant and this could be very beneficial.
    Be safe brother...

    what up j
    no problem
    whatever is easiest
this drill is not formally written up in the NH Lesson plan format as it would give the drill away
so copy the text or if u need anything, let me know
if u want, i can give u the phone # of the firehouse where the guys are that created the drill
they would be the best source of info

Just happened to come across your "Big 5", great idea we have to keep doing the basics. I am trying to revamp our training program, needs a bit of a shake-up. Anything you can send me or post on here would be great. Always looking for new drills and input on training program development.

Chief Thompson, I really enjoyed your Podcast about making training personal. I had a question about getting rookie fire fighters to do LODD Reports. I wanted to know if you just have them study the report and lead a disscussion, or if you have them use a standard approach to analyzing a NIOSH report. I have several fire fighters that I would like to get doing this, but they have limited instuctional experience and I want to give them some tools to succeed with the assignment. Thanks.
  • Nick Perkins

I found the LODD Outline, exactly what I was looking for. Thank Chief!
  • Mike Boatman

Hey Chief! Thanks for the heads up about this site. Its great, See ya around. Boat
