haha, thanks for the warning. I probably agree with John, considering the fact aht I'm am pretty close to being the ultimate nerd. I just get sick of the amount of homework and reading I am required to do for a 100 level class sometimes...I love my 15 page and still going biomechanical analysis of halyard ladder extension though. Anyway, thanks for the advice.

Better watch out! John speaks latin! :-P He might take offense to booing non-fire related homework!! He believes in a "well rounded" firefighter! LOL. I agree with Katy, I've always enjoyed working on 240, EMT, HazMat, or any other type of emergency services book work than English 101. One thing is true though, I think about every college class I have taken has benefited me in some way for the outside world, including the fire service. So even though non-fire college work is not much fun, it is still worthwhile. (Please don't egg my homepage!! Ha Ha Ha)

Now what...?

Sorry, I should have clarified and explained that the homework I was referring to was non-fire academic work. I guess when I think of homework, I think of school-work, not fire, because as you said why wouldn't I want to learn as much as I can to be the best fire fighter that I can. What I meant by that comment, is who wants to write a paper for the History of Western Civilizations when the have email from fire-engineering and fire-nuggets that they actually care about. Thanks for asking.

Ok gang...I wasn't very sure what was going to be the point or direction of this group-but since I'm an instructor...I'm wondering just what the homework problem has been so far.

Since becoming the very best firefighter is something that you sound like you are considering, I guess I don't understand what the problem of "homework" is. I hope you don't expect to learn the full range of this vocation from OJT...what am I missing?
