Where firefighters come to talk training

Firefighters hurt or killed because of communication issues.

Im writing a paper for a college class and i need a bit of research help.

Im looking for instances where firefighters were hurt of killed because of a communication failure.

I have some of the ones i know about like Charleston Sofa Super Store fire and Hackensack, New Jersey.

I know that the miscommunication didnt lead to these firefighters deaths but i do understand that there was a communication error at both places.

Im also looking for documented instances where a mayday worked like its supposed to.

Just a note, Im not looking to tear apart these guys or departments. I and everyone who reads the paper will know very well how hectic a fire scene is and how imperfect our raido systems can be.

Thanks guys,

Kyle, take a look at the links below. There is a lot of information available from Curt Varone at the below links. Curt is a great resource and very personal and approachable if you need more information.

I hope this helps! I would be interested in reading your paper when complete. Please remember your last two sentences. Share information and point out ways we can do things better without tearing apart people and departments. We all make mistakes it how we manage and learn from them.
