Where firefighters come to talk training

2008 Fire/EMS Safety, Health and Survival Week -Did Anyone Committed to (any) Long Term Results?

OK...., the 2008 Fire/EMS Safety, Health and Survival Week has come and gone; hopefully the "Committed to Long Term Results" has been carried forward into plans for the integration of an ongoing safety program within your organization.

But the real question is did you do something to COMMIT to "any kind" of safety results. It appears the silence may be deafening....in some cases.

As a leader what did YOU do as a LEADER to promote, set the example, empower, mentor, guide, entrust, allow, sanction, endorse, encourage, promote or champion safety?

Some would say that "all this safety stuff" is just another fad or phase......as of 06/30/2008 there have been 55 firefighter LODD.
