Where firefighters come to talk training

Hi there! I am thinking of enrolling in EKU's online fire science program, and wanted to ask all of you, how you feel about your experience thus far. Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Shane, I started with EKU in January and really like it. It had been about 10 years since I last attended college, and the staff at EKU was really helpful through the whole enrollment process. The on-line class stuff is pretty easy to figure out if you have even a little bit of computer knowledge. The instructors are always very helpful and forgiving if there is something you can't figure out. My fellow students are also very helpful. The classes have been good so far, some more difficult than others. I would recommend EKU.
Thanks Lisa! Sounds like i may be in the same boat as you... Its been about ten years since I last attended college. How do you feel about the tuition? Do you find that it is a lot higher than other schools or around the same? I have been looking around and it seems that EKU is on the high end of he spectrum for a non-resident. What I do like, is the fact that all of the classes are webcasts. I would much rather have an online instructor that actually lectures and presents the material, rather than doing the reading yourself and going online to take a test. Thanks for the advice, please let me know if you have anything else...

Shane, I found some tuitions to be higher and some lower. You definitely could get an on-line degree for cheaper, but EKU seems like a program with quality instructors and classes. They do have the lecture webcasts and some classes have a "lab" where the instructor teaches as they demonstrate various things. That was pretty cool. Their classes are 8 weeks long and the schedule works well with mine. I've been taking one class at a time so I don't get overwhelmed. If you have anymore questions just let me know.
