Fire Engineering Training Community

Where firefighters come to talk training

I am currently developing pre-plans (QAPs) for my Fire Dept. I have researched the internet and found a few of the usual software programs; ex. Fire Cad, etc. I also have seen some reccommendations for Microsoft Visio/Fire Graphics and ARC GIS. I don't have any experience with any of those programs. I am looking for some input/guidance from person(s) experienced with previously developing pre-plans utilizing software and having them available on PC vs hard copies in notebooks. Any information that can be provided re; Pre-Plans, QAPs & NFPA # 1620 will be appreciated.
