Where firefighters come to talk training

What type of daily, weekly, or monthly maintenace does your department do for it's thermal imagers? Do you cycle batteries? Function check? Do you have a central collateral/committee person(s) that does this, or do most/all line personnel perfom it themselves?

We check them with our weekly check of all equipment. Most crews cycle the batteries by running the existing battery down and changing it with the spare. This check consists of turning it on, checking for operation, cleaning any residue ( because we all know every crew cleans them after use) strap fray etc.. we have one captain who is the go to guy when it comes to the TIC.

We have right now older cameras (Cairns VIper) and are looking at ways to get some new equipment.
