Does the new NC Jr. laws effect you or your department? And how?

The new junoir firefighter rules does effect my volunteer dept. to a certain degree. We only have a few junoir members & they understand when a class is being taught that they can't participate in. But I do see where it has an effect on other rural departments where I have taught classes. I have seen where some depts. struggle to make minimum class sizes established by community colleges because they rely on their junoir participation. I think the rules are good for the safety & liability aspect, but I feel that it is going to hurt the rural depts. that recruit junoirs for their future firefighters.
