Well only seeing the AB corner gonna have to make some assumptions. Appears the fire started in the attic. Can see the framework in the attic area. No smoke out any of the windows other than the one that has fire around it. That may have been started by drop down. It appears there is plywood to the left of the front door but no where else. Door appears open.

Quick interior attack is a definite. It is an old enough house that you have some time. Get up the stairs, hit any fire you might come across and start pulling the ceiling to expose the big fire. A small h*** to get the nozzle up there will extinguish most of the fire. Narrow fog in the attic space will smother a lot.

If it did start on the second floor, and move to the attic, still a quick line up the stairs fighting the fire while moving and getting the structural members cool. A quick interior attack will keep this structure form being a complete loss.

For sure this is something that we will need to make assumptions on sense we are only seeing one view of the structure.  I would agree with both of you on the tactics and aggressive attack on this structure. Rob you hit the nail on the head with the age of the structure, I was hoping that someone would draw attention to the older construction that in turn gives us more time to make an interior attack. The rest of this structure (property) can be saved with an aggressive attack!

Thanks guys
