Where firefighters come to talk training

Just wanting to start a new topic on Fire Department Pipes and Drums bands. I am curious as to find out who has a band, and where new bands are forming.

I am a member of the Orlando Firefighters Pipes and Drums ( out of Florida, and we have only been in existence since 2005. Its great to hear about new bands forming, and members willing to sacrifice a lot of their spare time to learn the Highland Bagpipe and the drums.

As most of us know, the hardest part of putting together a Pipes and Drums band is trying to figure out where to begin.

I believe with our discussion here, we could help other firefighters get started with the formation of the Pipes and Drums in their department.
