Baxter Elementary in Putnam County,TN. A flood in Aug. led to the discovery of the wiring instead of copper wiring. It was built almost 50 years ago. The aluminum wiring saved almost $10,000 over the copper wiring. There is an investigation into the wiring and the electricians who did the work but they may be deceased at this point.

The investigator states that the wiring was so bad that students could have been killed.
