Ohio HazMat Training

The Ohio PUCO has awarded a grant to the University of Findlay (Ohio) for Hazardous Materials Training. The is will allow free training to Volunteer Fire departments throughout the State. We all know how tight Fire Department budgets are and this would allow your department to get the training that is required at zero cost.

The State of Ohio needs to upgrade or go with a national standard course. Cleveland State University has been doing haz-mat training for years through grants and other means. At the Solon Haz-mat conference they have a list of fire depts. that qualify for free training by county, if you need info please contact them.

Thank you Dan! I sit on a few committees with in the State of Ohio and they have currently re-vamped the HazMat Awareness, Operations & Technician level training.

Chief Vedder has done an excellent job with the HazMat Conference in Solon, Ohio. Your blessed to be able to have such knowledgeable like Mark! Thank you for your reply!!!!
