Where firefighters come to talk training

Whats your process?

What does your promotional process consist of? What are the minimum requirements for promotional eligibility? How effective is it?

In my department we have a written test that establishes the pool of forty firefighters who continue to the assesment center and chiefs interview. A member must be in for three years to be eligible to take the promotional test. Unfortunately we sometimes end up with in experienced fire officers.
