Where firefighters come to talk training

Hey Gang,

Looking for advice/input. My department's RIT bag is designed so that we only have one pocket that stores light sticks, strobe lights, and a few other small tools. We have recently discovered that the contents of the glow sticks, when exposed to the plastic casing on the strobe lights, is causing a reaction and the plastic casing has melted. (I attached a couple pictures.) Has anyone encountered this problem? If so, what have you done about it? If not, any suggestions? We thought about putting the light sticks inside a plastic bag in case they leak again, but feel that will hamper rescue efforts. Any help would be appreciated.
