Began in the Fire Service in 1994 as a member of the newly formed Emergency Response Team at an Industrial Plant. Served as Team Captain for 10 yrs. Primary responsibility that of Maintenance Supervisor.

Joined Sweetwater County Fire District #1 as a Volunteer Firefighter in March, 2002. Promoted to Captain in 2003. Appointed to Chief's Position upon retirement of previous Fire Chief; accepted position as the Full-Time Chief in April 2006.
