18 years in the fire service and still learning everyday. I enjoy taking, teaching, and talking about common sense operations regarding structural fire suppression. I have been fortunate to work with and meet others that have been willing to pass on their experiences and I just try to pass on what they have showed me and some things that I have learned from making my share of mistakes.
Bio:
Appointed to the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire in 1999, currently assigned as a Lieutenant at Engine Company #8 A-Line in the city's East Liberty neighborhood. Previou s assignments Engine Company 17, Truck Company 14, Engine & Truck Company 8. Prior to PBF I worked for Wilkinsburg Fire Department for 3 years. I started in the fire service as a 4th generation family member with the Adams Area Fire District. I also currently serve as Assistant Chief of Training with the 171st ARW Fire Department, PA Air National Guard. I am a Pennyslvania State Fire Instructor and also teach as a member of Rapid Intervention Training Associates and Fireground Ready LLC. I am married (Cathy) and have one son (Brady).
