34 year old ff, with 4 wonderful kids, Love to travel, Easy going guy for the most part great love for the fire service I still believe its the greatest job their is. and I apologize my spelling is horrible which is actually funny before I moved into the fire service I was a sign painter.

    Hey Brother!! Thanks for the good comments on the article. I actually wrote it to help several local brothers in redoing theirs. I truly enjoy the process and when it is done, the helmet feels that much more a part of your own history. As for the paint, well. 'Nough said, but I'll be callin' on you if I ever need help with leather! Thanks again. (Just saw a burned up lid belonging to another officer in my department, he took a beating at a training burn run by another department. The paint is all raised up on the crown and I'm concerned that his lid is cooked.., knowing him, he isn't pleased. I'm dying to hear what happened.
