Bio:
I am currently the Executive Director of Safety for Revel Entertainment at the Revel Resort in Atlantic City, NJ. Prior to this I was a Fire Protection Engineer with ACTS Inc, a subcontractor, at the DoE Savannah River Site and Fire Protection Engineer with DeKalb County Fire-Rescue in metro Atlanta. I have held positions of Assistant Safety Manager at the Center for Domestic Preparedness, Department of Homeland Security in Anniston, AL; and also worked at the University of Georgia where I was a Fire Safety Inspector.
I am originally from Erie, PA where I was a Hazardous Materials Technician with the Erie County Hazardous Materials Team in Erie, PA for 12 years, and was the team’s Training Officer and Lead Radiological Officer for over 8 years. I have over 35 years experience in fire protection and hazardous materials response, including 12 years as a Fire Protection Specialist/Supervisor with the U.S. Air Force where I held positions as Training Officer, Fire Inspector, Assistant Fire Chief, and Fire Chief. I am now an Instructor Emeritus, having been a Master Suppression Fire Instructor, for Pennsylvania State Fire Academy, and a Radiological Level III Instructor for Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency.
I hold numerous fire certifications with the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications; am a Certified Safety Specialist, Certified Safety Instructor and Certified Hazardous Materials Supervisor with the World Safety Organization and am also a member of the Insitution of Fire Engineers, USA Chapter and the Society of Fire Protection Engineers.
Past member of the Kearsarge FD, and Lake Shore FD in Erie, PA. Also past member and officer with the Erie County (PA) Hazardous Materials Team.
