Bio:
Jason Blount is a Lieutenant/Paramedic who has served more than 22 years in the fire service and 17 years with the Hillsboro (OR) Fire Department. At Hillsboro he has been assigned various duties and just recently completed working in the Training division as the Training Lieutenant where he has instructed various topics including, ICS, EMS, Technical Rescue, live fire, and fire ground operations. He has an Associate’s degree in Fire Science from Rogue Community College and is a Fire Instructor III through DPSST. He is part of Oregon USAR TF-1, has involvement in various work groups and committees in the Portland area and is the Secretary/ Treasurer for the Western Washington County Training Association. He has been the recipient of the 2006 Instructor of the year award from the Northwest Fire Trainers Association, the 2007 Instructor of the year award from the Western Washington County Training Association and the 2007 Chief’s award from Hillsboro Fire Department.
