Bio:
I am a 3rd generation native Beaufortonian. That may not mean much to some but it you are from around this area you will agree that this is rare. I am married to Lieutenant Brandy Horton with the Lady's Island / St. Helena Fire District. We have two boys Joshua and Brandyn who truly define what it means to be a BOY. I began my Fire Service Career as a Volunteer with the Lady's Island / St. Helena Fire District while still in High School. In 1994 I became a full time Paid member and realized my dream, of becoming a member of that Department. I attained the rank of SFF C while there. In March of 2000, I accepted the position of Lieutenant with the Fripp Island Fire Department. This is where I really began to grow as an officer. In 2002 I was promoted to Captain. Now I was feeling my oats so to speak. In January 2005 I accepted the position of Fire Chief. I try every day to remember the people that helped me along the way and to not forget where I came from. THIS IS THE GREATEST , MOST NOBLEST PROFESSION IN THE WORLD.
