Bio:
Woman. Born 1962.
Originally trained for lab work, I worked at the
- agricultural university in Wageningen (plant disease and pesticides)
- Ministry of Environment (radiation inspector)
- Ministry of Defence (Head of the Radiological Protection Service)
- Fire Dept. of Amsterdam Amstelland (Hazmat Officer)
My work also is my hobby. In my spare time I
- work as a volunteer fire fighter in Soest
- am correspondent BeNeLux for Hazards intelligence (HInt, http://www.saunalahti.fi/ility/)
- and always scan the web for dangerous goods accidents to learn from.
Beside that, I love to snorkle, canoe and be a reenactor (spinning and weaving in prehistory, viking age and late middle age)
Last but not least I am a cat lover. Right now (july 2008) I have 8 cat kids - I always carry some (sometimes even many) of their hairs around, to the disgust of some colleagues.
I was a volunteer for a local fire dept here in kansas. I have always wanted to go overseas to study different techniques. Could you tell me if there are any openings in your area. thank you, shawn robertson
