Hey Berg! Didn't even know this existed. Pretty lame on my part. I've been chatting with all the youngsters on MySpace and FaceBook. Guess it's time I grew up and played with the big boys and girls. I miss you brother.
Well, I didn't want to bring it down to your level, but if you'd be so kind as to send me your address I'd be more then willing to send back your leftovers that you forgot under my bed! I miss you lover :)
Funny how we seem to know. I was just talking to Paula about how I haven't been in touch with you for several weeks.
I have been cold, colder it seems than past years. Its only -3, I should be feeling like a sunny day. Lots happenin' up here. We should talk, I could use you as a sounding board.
Chad, Who would be a good contact at your dept. for information and discussion regarding tactical use of CAFS. We ar facing some hot topics: GPM of 1 3/4 and 2 1/2 CAF lines and do you use CAFS in bldgs that do not have carpets?
Look, I know those with bugles are supposed to stay off the nozzle, but in Fairbanks, at -15 degrees, (a balmy evening), air packs go bad quick and the guy wearin' the functionin SCBA is the one on the tip!! ......I'm just sayin.
Whats up Brother Berg? Hope you got my voice mail. If not or you missed it, I'll do this in public form. hahahaha
"The Nor Cal Fools challenge the Puget Sound Fools to a Fitness Challenge"
Gimme a ring for the full details,
Talk to ya soon!!!!
Brother, everything is set. We decorate the engine today, the bell is in place, the color guard equipment is shined. We're lookin' good. Chief would be proud. I just wanted to take a minute to let you know that I keep you close. You're positive attitude and enthusiastic greeting always warms my meloncholy heart. I need people like you from time to time, and I'll keep you close in my heart tommorrow.
I know that you know that I know that I am really stalking you. But I am so good at it, you think you are stalking me. So in reality we are....... Oh whatever.... How are ya Brother?
It's nice having a probie isn't it... YCFD is going good. Looks like we may be getting an 8 screen theater to train on for a few days. Only bad part is when we get it, it will be last minute and only for a few days.. Oh well Train when ever you can right. Slower than heck on the fires though. I can't buy a job. My engine has been on close to 20+ working fires this year, and I have only been on duty for 1!!!!!!! Sucks to be me huh???
Things are going great, I just completed 1 yr in the companies on Aug 17th and am out trying to increase my education. I love truck work and everything about it. I have read many of your posts in the past and been able to utilize alot of info you have handed out. I gotta alot of respect and thanks for you and the many other guys on this site laying down all you have learned to help us young guys out. Thanks and hope to see you at FDIC. Be safe.
Brother....Thanks for watching. We all miss him dearly. It was a beautiful thing on saturday. He would have been damn proud. I look forward to seeing you this spring. Has ben given you the dates? It is much earlier....You have the potential of seeing some sub-zero tempetures......Cant wait.
Can't wait to see you again. By the way, you may need some warmer clothes ........
Forrest, Tod and I go up for Battalion next week. What a line up. Three brothers, three friends, we'd all be glad to work under each of the other, can't fail. FTM-PTB!!!!!
-40 going down...........Headline in paper says that "-50 degrees will seem passe in the coming week". Yeah. Flippin' sweet.
Hey brother, just wanted to let you know, I'll be privileged to remain in charge of my company for the foreseeable future. Our win/win was turned upside down the other day. I'll call you and tell you all about the latest.

So anyway, just got off the phone with my new soon to be boss, he and I have a lot in common and very similar mindsets and "core" values. I think we're going to be okay. Look forward to talking with you, bud.
Here's a thought. The United States of the Western Coast. Alaska, BC and Washington. Yeah? You said you were cut off except through the North. I figure if you can put up with a few Cannoooks, we can make a go of it. Be'in cut off isn't all that bad once you get used to it.
Hey brother, we got ten dedicated students, we got supplies, we got the Psyche House, we'll probably have some ribs again too! Lookin' for ward to rockin' this out.
Oh, ...it will be somewhat colder than previous years.
Brother Berg, could you take a look at http://community.fireengineering.com/xn/detail/1219672:Topic:125613 and offer your two cents worth regarding venting metal roofs (residental and commerical)??
The belt that you made is great!! Getting a lot of comments. I took the flyer and forwarded if to my dist. list of emails and printed it out and hung them at work. I have one that should be sending in a request right away (he is our AC's kid). Thanks again, it works and looks great. Scott
Havin' hot time in the city! Actually, I can came in on call back and missed out on the hot stuff, just a lot of defense and overhaul. Lost our favorite spot for pancakes on a Sunday morning. Roof came in right after the interior lines pulled out. Call me, we need to talk about class...time is short!! Lodging is set!
Chad,
Im glad I finally got the opportunity to meet you and there couldent have been a better place. I had a lot of fun learning things from a true truckie. Thank you for all your teachings, stay safe and keep in touch.
Did you see the video posted on your Forum? Unfortunately it ends just before you declare you're about to lose your lunch, but the effect is there none the less. Let me know what you think!
Please allow me to invite you to the group called HazMat Placards to Success. This group will allow firefighters to discuss a step by step process for a Hazardous Materials response. From the firefighter to the hazmat technician. The first step has been posted in the group, with many more steps to come.
Thanks, Brother. I need to bounce a few things off you, I like the way you think things through..we should talk. I have no time. I'll call as soon as I can.

Wife and I just got back from our cruise. Great time relaxing and doing nothing.
I'm assuming you'll be off on Sunday when I return. See you in another week...unless you're coming up with us for MCO's.
Have a great shift without me.
