Bio:
13 Years in Fire Service, attaining rank of Chief in the Peru Fire Department. Moved to Plattsburgh, NY in May 2008 and joined the Beekmantown Fire Department. Married since 2007 to a wonderful woman (she is also in the Fire Service). Became NYS Fire Instructor in July 2007, and getting my feet wet with Instructing. Finally acquired an Associates in Fire Protection Technology May of 2008. Full-time job as a 9-1-1 Dispatcher for Clinton County Emergency Services. Three additional Part-time Jobs (including NYSFI). Constantly taking new classes to keep my skills and training up to date, because I am always looking to learn something new. I am a big believer in learning methods and tactics from another person's point of view...sometimes, it is a real eye-opener.
Every day, I hope to improve the Fire Service in some small way. I have come to the conclusion that change needs to come from new Firefighters enrolling in Firefighter I Classes. The new Generation is our future.
