For those of you that are interested in discussing training burns. Pro's and Con's, Training safely and effectively with live fire. Led by FIRE, LLC's Tony Piontek, who has over ten years experience in 170+ structure burns.
Does anyone know where to obtain a copy of the video recapping the events of the incident that lead to NFPA 1403? I first saw the video this past year at FDIC in the Florida Live Fire Class and I haven't been able to locate it anywhere. Thanks.
I'm not sure about the Boulder footage, but the NFA had a FF safety video back in the 1980s that had a bunch of live fire traiings gonw wrong. Go to www.fsi.uiuc.edu and search the library web site. Use the terms live fire and NFA. The Univ. of IL Fire Serv. Institute has a full-time librarian and if what you need is not easily found by you she can work wonders.
New York state has the video, I saw a presentation from a guy in the state office a few years back, Tom something, he is more than willing to send you what you need...I will look through my business cards and see if I can find out a name and contact info for you.
